ACATMAR meeting introduces new members, second-half actions and the sector's next projects

ACATMAR, the Brazilian Nautical Association, held another members' meeting on the evening of Monday, July 27, at Iate Clube Veleiros da Ilha, Downtown Branch, in Florianópolis.

The meeting brought together entrepreneurs, representatives of member companies and sector leaders to present results, new projects and actions planned for the second half of 2026, while fostering integration and new connections among participants.

The program began with the introduction of the new members, who now join ACATMAR's network and strengthen the representation of the Sea Economy production chain, made up of industry, trade, services and nautical tourism.

During the meeting, the association's new website, www.acatmar.org, and the new membership platform were also presented, designed to make the joining process simpler, more organized and more accessible to companies and professionals.

Another highlight was the ACATMAR Bulletin for the first half of 2026, bringing together the main actions, achievements, institutional efforts and results reached by the association over the first months of the year.

Representation and dialogue with public authorities

Among the institutional topics, the board presented the steps related to recognizing ACATMAR as an entity of Federal Public Utility, reinforcing the relevance of the association's work for the nautical sector and the Sea Economy.

Members also discussed the drafting of an Institutional Document of the Sea Economy, which will gather the sector's main demands and proposals. The material will be delivered to candidates for congress, to the State Government and to political leaders who have sought out ACATMAR to understand the needs and opportunities of the production chain. The goal is to present a technical, unified agenda, showing the sector's capacity to generate jobs, income, innovation, tourism, economic development and sustainability.

Another decision was to send an official letter to the Municipality of Biguaçu, requesting information about the progress of the breakwater project presented at ACATMAR's previous meeting. The work is considered strategic to improve navigability, reduce the impact of silting and create conditions for the development of nautical activities in the region.

Actions, technical visits and training

The board presented ACATMAR's plan of actions for the second half of 2026, including the schedule of technical visits, opportunities for member participation and the criteria for joining the activities.

The initial plan for the 6th ACATMAR Technical Forum 2026 was also presented, an event focused on training, professional updating and integration of the production chain, bringing together specialists, companies, professionals and institutions to discuss safety, legislation, innovation, technology and the new demands of the nautical market.

Blue Nautical HUB Brazil

The meeting also presented the results of Blue Nautical HUB Brazil 2026, an initiative that brought together Brazilian and international companies, promoted business meetings and expanded connections between the productive sector, institutions and global markets.

Next, the first information about Blue Nautical HUB Brazil 2027 was shared, including the new format, the preliminary program, participation opportunities and options for members to take part. The next edition aims to expand the results achieved, strengthening the event as a strategic environment for business, technology, innovation and internationalization for the Sea Economy. Connecting solutions and opportunities

The program closed with a talk by Ronaldo Taranto on the theme "Selling is not about convincing. It is about connecting solutions and opportunities", offering reflections on relationships, positioning, value creation and the importance of understanding the market to build more effective and lasting commercial connections.

After the meeting, participants took part in a networking dinner, strengthening relationships among members and creating new possibilities for partnerships and business.
