Public safety and the Sea Economy sailing together

During the 2025 ACATMAR Technical Training Forum, the association supported the training of officers from the 4th Military Police Battalion (4th BPM), who received their Amateur Skipper licenses and can now serve in waterborne crews.
The theoretical and practical course was run on a voluntary basis by Captain Jhonata, from Atlântico Despachante Náutico, showing how the private sector can collaborate directly with the security forces.
In recognition, the 4th BPM granted ACATMAR the title of "Friend of the 4th BPM," with a trophy handed to president Leandro "Mané" Ferrari. After all, the Sea Economy is also about public safety and protecting lives.
